A great time was had by all as we rocked through such (You Ain't Punk) Ramones classics as Judy is a Punk, Commando, Carbona Not Glue, I Wanna Be Sedated and We're a Happy Family. More shows are in the works, not sure what state we'll be playing in yet though. Anyone have footage of 30FootFall as the Dead Kennedy's?

Revisiting TransAm Superman by Monster Soup
TransAm Superman by Monster Soup by music for closetLames
The TransAm Superman 7" was originally released in 1994 on Fuzzgun Records. We're working on remastering all 3 songs on the 7" (TransAm Superman, Yesterday and Fudge Blast) to make them available again as digital downloads through our bandcamp page.

New Tunes for Monster Soup at Recent Jam Session
Bassist Samm Chong was able to get down from San Francisco recently for a Monster Soup jam session at the Six2Midnite studio in Eagle Rock, CA. We ran through a few old tunes that we'd been playing at the recent gigs at Fitz in Houston and we then plowed through a few new tunes that Samm hadn't heard before. Among them is the new song "Trucker Sucker". Can ya guess what that's about? It's inspired by an old friend of ours from Houston that has a certain affnity for Jerry Reed types.
New riffs and chords have been flowing freely in the last year and just like old times, while rehearsing we end writing yet another song. It doesn't have a title yet, but it's a catchy tune that will fit well into the Monster Soup set list.
I've just gotten word from Samm at 62M headquarters that he is reviving his "Closet Lames" project. It's garage rock with massive volume. We will have some sounds from Closet Lames available soon. Also, look for upcoming shows in the San Fran area. If all goes well, Monster Soup may be making appearances in the area as well.
Demo versions of a few new Monster Soup songs will be available soon! Keep checking back.

Houston's Monster Soup - Recording Again!
Technology has made recording sooo easy. Robbie and I loaded all our recording gear into the car and headed for Vegas where we met up with Greg to lay down a few tracks. We took an enormously long unmarked route through the desert and encountered some amazing sites along the way. Gotta love that Route 66. I've got about 15 songs in the works and needed Greg to put his signature lead work in a few places. Greg also had parts for about 4 more songs in his back pocket. Some of the material is for Monster Soup and some will be for future projects that are yet to be named.

When We Ruled H-Town on Channel 26
It always pays to know people in the right places. With a big show coming up this past February at Fitz in Houston, we made a few phone calls and a friend in the right place was able to get us an interview on Channel 26 to promote the documentary "When We Ruled H-Town". The show was huge and buzz on the documentary is escalating rapidly. Thanks Houston!
